WEEKLY UPDATE 11 JANUARY 2026 (part 2)
At the Deaf Centre the match finished at 9.00, so presumably was played over two tables. The standout score was Ihjaz Hussain's 223 - 148 victory over Brain Robinson, which also secured the aggregate point on the night for the B team, but that was the only highlight for them, as the A teams in form duo of Ian Ford and Jeremy Dixon beat Peter O'Connell and Richard Bowes respectively The aggregate for the game between Richard and Jeremy was 339 and with both players on minus handicaps that means they actually scored an impressive 364 between them - possibly the highest of the season, although I haven't checked it. (Wrong - when checked same pair scored 374 on 9 December).
At Pudsey the match was also played using both tables and produced the closest finishes of the night, as Peter Allan beat Sid Ash by one and John Allan beat Dave Howarth by 6, meaning that Graham Tudor's by no means massive 29 point win over Ralph Allan secured both aggregate points for Pudsey B
