PLAYERS TABLE 17 DECEMBER 2025
PLAYERS TABLE COMMENTARY
With 7 matches now played, those players who have only played once have dropped out of the main table, where Dave Bowers is joined by Gerry Garland, who made his first appearance of the season in a league fixture. This brings the number of players for the season up to 28.
Exactly half of those in the main table (13) have a plus average and the other 13 a minus (same as last week). Jeremy Dixon and Gareth Kershaw reached the half way point of the season with only 1 defeat each in 7 appearances, while four other players have won 5 from 7 (or 6 from 8 in Dave Howarth's case). Graham Tudor and Chris Jarvis both got off the mark with first wins of the season, leaving only Peter Turner without a win - although he has only played 5 matches
The biggest upward movers in the table are both from Pudsey, with Dave Howarth up from 12 to 8 and Peter Allan from 19 to 15 while 3 players move three places in the other direction, John Allan from 15 to 18, Sid Ash from 16 to 19 and Richard Bowes - who played twice - from 20 to 23
Richard did however claim two more places in the highest points scored table. Does the clock run slowly at the Deaf Centre? While it might not be a surprise that Richard's scores keep hitting this list (5 now), Jeremy Dixon has 2 and Trevor Kershaw's 184 was also made on the Deaf Centre tables.
There were five scores over 200 this week and three of those also hit the Highest Scores list, so well done to Gerry Garland, Peter Allan and Edward Lawson (just, at 10=)
